Captain Timmy White - Badge: 237

August 20, 1962 - January 6, 2021

Captain Timmy White joined the Delbarton VFD in 1984 as a probationary firefighter. After completing his training in 1993, he rose to the rank of firefighter. Capt. White served valiantly with the department for many years while continuing his progression through the ranks, eventually rising to the rank of Captain, which he held until his passing.

Capt. White was a firefighter to the core. He was knowledgeable, able, and well respected among his peers and fellow members. Capt. White's legacy with the Delbarton VFD lives on in the form of his daughter, Firefighter - Sarah White, and in the memory of those who served with him. Capt. White was laid to rest with full firefighter's honors in January 10, 2021 at the White Family Cemetery in Elk Creek, WV.

Lieutenant Freddie Justice - Badge: 233

September 22, 1954 - December 12, 2021

Lt. Justice joined the Delbarton VFD in 1999 as a probationary firefighter. After completing his training in 2000, he rose to the rank of firefighter. Freddie served valiantly with the department for many years before rising to the rank of Lieutenant in 2015, which he held until his passing.


Lt. Justice was a "firefighter's lieutenant". He was knowledgeable, cherished, and well respected among his peers and fellow members. Most importantly, Freddie was easy to talk to. He was always approachable and saw the best in everyone around him. Lt. Justice would go out of his way to help anyone with anything with his friendly and welcoming demeanor. Lt. Justice's legacy with the Delbarton VFD lives on in the form of his son, Firefighter - Shane Justice - Unit 255, and in the memory of those who served with him. Lt. Justice was laid to rest with full firefighter's honors in December 18, 2021 at the Ferrel Family Cemetery in Taylorville, WV.
